In the first years of the last century, the teachings of Sri Bhagavan were communicated and written on ‘a slate’ or ‘even on the ground on sand’, or ‘bits of paper’. Such is the divine plan that ‘what was to be preserved’ has still been preserved for posterity and available for His devotees through the bookstall.
In the beginning, some devotee would come forward and publish them. Bhagavan would correct the proofs with meticulous care and would suggest that the price should be kept as low as possible to reach many.
