The Maha Puja commemorates the mukti (Liberation) of Sri Bhagavan’s mother Alagamma. It was observed at the Ashram on Monday, May 18 corresponding to Vaishaka Bahula Navami according to the Hindu calendar. Special abhishekam and puja to Sri Matrubhuteswara Lingam over the Mother’s Samadhi was performed. A large number of devotees paid their respectful homage to the Mother.

The previous day evening (17-5-2008), Dr. Sarada gave a concert of carnatic Music.
